About Dr. Heather Hopper

Experience and Credentials

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Miami in 1997, and I have been licensed as a psychologist since 1998. My training and work experience has included three University Counseling Centers, two VA medical centers, a drug and alcohol treatment center, and an outpatient clinic. I’ve been in private practice since 2008.

My therapy experience has been with individuals as well as groups. I have performed psychological assessments, have supervised psychology trainees at all educational levels, and have taught classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels. I also provide personal growth and educational workshops in a variety of areas.

I have treated and consulted with clients from many backgrounds – including ethnicity/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, education, age, and gender.

I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Georgia Psychological Association, and the International Positive Psychology Association.
